Newton Ma Residential Pickup
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT AT THIS TIME WE ARE NO LONGER PROVIDING HOUSE TO HOUSE COLLECTION SERVICES OF TELEVISIONS FOR THE CITY OF NEWTON.

Residential collection for computer related electronics, appliances and metal related items occur every other Friday. Please be advised that collection only occurs on FRIDAYS and is not related to your normal trash pickup.
Please be advised that as of Thursday February 4th, 2016, the price for pickups is as follows:
First item and pickup charge - $25.00.
Any additional item is an additional $10.00 per item.
The items for pickup include all computer related electronics such as computers, mice, keyboards, speakers, tablets, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, fax machines, copy machines, audio equipment, refrigerators, microwaves, air conditioners, stoves, washers, dryers, other household appliances, misc. metal, filing cabinets, metal shelving, metal desks, etc. For pickup of any other items (such as televisions, mattresses, toilets, couches, wooden items, paint, tires, etc.) please contact the City of Newton's, Customer Service Department at (617) 796-1000.
Pickups can be scheduled by phone or online.
There will be a $25.00 pickup fee per stop. This fee includes the pickup of one approved electronic, appliance or metal item. If more than one approved item is to be picked up, there will be an additional fee of $10.00 per item. For example, for the pickup of 1 refrigerator, 1 laptop, and a grill - the charge would be $45.00.

Please be sure when paying by Paypal to enter "Newton Pickup" in the Description bar.
Also, please be sure to enter the appropriate dollar amount related to your pickup. Pickups that do not have correct payment amounts will not be scheduled until the correct payment amount is received.
*** PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5pm on Wednesday prior to the pickup on Friday in order to be scheduled for that Friday's pickup.
Please be advised that if space is unavailable for the Friday immediately following the receipt of your payment that you will be scheduled for the next scheduled Friday that has space available.
Please be sure to leave your items out by the curb by 7am on Friday to ensure pickup.
Please be sure to leave accurate contact information (i.e. telephone number, email address, etc.) so that we may contact you to advise you of your pickup date.
Please be advised that there no refunds.
** Items can also be dropped off at the Rumford Avenue recycling depot every third Friday and Saturday of each month. Charges may apply at drop off location. Please contact Newton City Hall for information on drop-off charges.

If your pickup consists of more than eight large items (refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, desks, metal cabinets, etc.), please contact us using our General Pickup Form.
